The Dawning of A New Age
Three Prophecies Fulfilled
Did you know that there are three prophecies that were given in the Tanakh (The Old Testament). We see these three prophecies being fulfilled in our days and so, we know, that there is a new age ready to dawn. I am not into speculation. Neither do I entertain conspiracy theories. I believe these prophecies are simple and clear and are simply and clearly being fulfilled.

There are ages set in God’s time scale and he spells these out for us. This age is an age of the Good News of grace and love in Jesus, reaching all the nations of the earth. The next age to come will be the millennial kingdom of Jesus, the Messiah. It will be a time of amazing peace. The signs are clear.
THE FIRST PROPHECY
The Lord told us through the prophets Ezekiel, Jeremiah and Amos that the Jewish people would be scattered among all the nations and then, after many years, they would be returned to their land. Notice how Amos states that when this event takes place, they will never be forced to leave their land, ever again.
I will disperse you among the nations and scatter you through the countries (Ezekiel 22:15 NIV).
“For I will bring them from the north and from the distant corners of the earth.” Listen to this message from the LORD, you nations of the world. Proclaim it in distant coastlands. The LORD, who scattered his people, will gather them and watch over them as a shepherd does his flock (Jeremiah 31:8,10 NLT).
I will bring my people Israel back from exile.
“They will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them.
They will plant vineyards and drink their wine.
They will make gardens and eat their fruit.
15 I will plant Israel in their own land,
never again to be uprooted
from the land I have given them,”
says the Lord your God (Amos 9:13,14).
FULFILLMENT
We see this prophecy being fulfilled. Since 1948, when Israel became a nation, there has been a constant migration of Jewish people from every continent, back to the land.
THE SECOND PROPHECY
The second prophecy is that the nations would become hostile and angry against the Jews who have returned to their land. They will become so hostile that they will gather from many nations and surround Israel in an attempt to annihilate the Jews, once and for all. This type of anti-semitic sentiment is not new, but it will reach a feverish pitch in the coming years. Expect it.
After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm. You will be like a cloud covering the land (Ezekiel 39:8,9).
This is only one prophecy in a chapter filled with prophecy. To keep it brief, I am only citing this one. However, think about this. The prophecy was made 2500 years ago. It mentions the nations of Russia, Turkey and Iran as those who would come against Israel. In Revelation we learn that there will be an army of 200,000,000 men marching across the Euphrates River on their way to crush Israel (Revelation 9:16-18)
The number of the mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number (Revelation 9:16).
Ever since the modern state of Israel was formed, there has been hostility. This prophecy is very plausible, easily imaginable.
THE THIRD PROPHECY
The third prophecy is that the Messiah will descend from the skies and defend Israel from their enemies. This is quite intense. The threat of destruction will be so imminent that the Lord himself will be the one who needs to come the Israel’s rescue. Think about this. When Jesus returns, he will not only be seen by all and will come with power and glory to set up his kingdom. But, he will also defend Israel with his great power.
A day of the Lord is coming, Jerusalem, when your possessions will be plundered and divided up within your very walls.
2 I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it. The city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped.Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city.3 Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle.4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.5 You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him … 9 The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name. (Zechariah 14:1-5, 9).
CONCLUSION
A New Age is upon us. That’s it. Three prophecies that allow us to interpret the events of our day. The stage is being set. The time of the Lord’s return is near. The glorious kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ will soon be upon us. In His Kingdom, Satan will be locked up. There will be changes in the topography and weather. People will live much longer. The Messiah will be a warrior, a prince of peace. What a wonderful new age this will be.
God was working his plan through the pre-flood history of humanity. He is still working his plan today, creating a generation of people who love him. The family continues to grow as we share the faith and the message spreads.
